The white cliffs

The white cliffs of Lincolnshire. OK, it’s a chalk pit. Lincolnshire is covered in chalk pits, used to make cement and quarry stone. The abandoned ones seem to be good wildlife reservoirs.

Tractor Trail

Belchford tractor rally signIn the village of Belchford farmers and enthusiasts proudly showing off their tractors old and new with a drive past. There were about 50 tractors but unfortunately not very photographable as you only saw a few at a time as they went past.

Murder Scene?

If anyone can explain this please get in touch.

In the middle of nowhere, a dead deer and magpie. Also, scattered around the scene is a large skeleton (could be a sheep), several decomposing birds and a single, fresh pig’s trotter. What’s going on?

Cobblers Corner

Another in my occasional series about the decimation of rural life. Fellow photographer, Jane Wright who likes to photograph old buildings went to shoot this one and later commented that I have a habit of making Lincolnshire look American. She is probably correct as most of my historical influences are American photographers.
