The World revolves around Cleethorpes
“Global Positioning System (GPS) receivers show that the marking strip for the prime meridian at Greenwich is not exactly at zero degrees, zero minutes, and zero seconds but at approximately 5.3 seconds of arc to the west of the meridian (meaning that the meridian appears to be 102.478 metres east)”. I hope the strip at Cleethorpes is a little more accurate otherwise it will be in the sea.

I photographed this old phone box at Wasps Nest [sic] a few years back. It has recently been restored and turned into a local history, picnic place and charity box.

I’m not a great fan of graffiti but, when it’s humorous I can forgive the perp. I guess as it’s on the sea bank it could be a Banksy?

I’ve recently been doing some walking just over the border in Sherwood Forest. It was humbling to stand in front of a tree that has lived for a thousand years.
